Workshop on “HMMM”

“Kathy Kennedy’s HMMM workshop offers an opportunity for working together in a new context. HMMM provides an enhanced listening environment, and a friendly, positive space for self-expression. While exploring the commonalities of all voices, this series of activities explores and celebrates individual expression. The workshop does not focus on singing, but explores a more general orality that is available to non-singers alike.  Musical improvisation is a multi-layered conversation, and a playful approach is taken to explore this activity which leads invariably to better collaboration and cooperation. Kennedy is a certificate holder of the esteemed Deep Listening practice of composer Pauline Oliveros. Several decades of this practice has led K. to refine her HMMM series.”

Workshop on "The challenge of independent cinema based on collaboration, cooperation and multiplicity."

If the film industry is collaborative, it develops in cooperation and multiplicity affects its entire life course as a time of commercial exploitation, independent and / or author production, it is no less so. The author’s cinematographic production is the basis and the case study to analyze the life paths of films that, traversing a history of more than a century, has been passing the transforming space of a mostly collective enjoyment, to a new space for individual enjoyment.
Supports, media and volatile exploration / exhibition contexts are a challenge for producers and consequently for other authors. From universities to production centers, audiovisual is a challenging space that the workshop will try to discover, as if between the layers of an onion.
